It opens kinda shaky with an admittedly dorky cover of Hound Dog, which makes you think they’re gonna do some weird rockabilly pastiche or something. But man is this thing just relentlessly ferocious. Has all the best aspects of hardcore, punk, garage, and just a little bit of Stooges swagger. Big influence on grunge, too (the Stooges stuff particularly inspired Mark Arm and Green River). One of the most amazing and fun and non-stop KILLER records ever unleashed. It's truly unbelievable how astounding this recording is, song after song.
