Its combination of essential features and affordable price for both professionals and home users make it a smart choice for any XML workflow. With XMLBlueprint, you can edit and validate very large XML files (1 GB and larger). The intuitive interface makes XML editing quick and easy. XMLBlueprint is the best choice for both professional developers and everyday users. Key features: XML Validator: The XML editor automatically validates files against XSD, DTD, Relax NG Schema, and Schematron. All files are validated as you type. XMLBlueprint provides wizards for associating your XML document with a DTD, Relax NG, or XSD. Supported processors include Xerces, MSXML, and Jing. XML Catalogs : XML catalogs allow you to redirect schemas from the internet to your local computer, making XML file validation much faster and more reliable. Tag Autocompletion: Context-sensitive suggestions (IntelliSense) based on XSD, DTD, and Relax NG Schema for element names, attribute names, and attribute values. Closing tags are added automatically. Annotations from the XML schema appear as tooltips, providing contextual help. XML Refactoring: XMLBlueprint offers a wide range of XML editing features. Refactoring helps you change the structure of XML documents. Sometimes, simply finding and replacing text isn't enough to accurately modify a document. For example, if you want to replace all
elements with
, you can't simply replace "p" with "div" globally—that would break words like "simple" (become "simdivle"). You also can't simply replace
with
, because the closing
tag would remain. For such tasks, it's much faster to use the XML editor's refactoring features. XML Formatting The XML formatter lets you indent, break long lines, remove whitespace, handle empty elements, and customize attribute placement. You can specify how XMLBlueprint formats your XML file, such as what to do with empty elements and where to place attributes and text. XMLBlueprint handles whitespace correctly (using the xml:space attribute)—you can override this behavior for individual elements if needed. XML Generation The XML generator creates XML samples based on XSD, DTD, or Relax NG Schema. You can specify whether to generate optional elements, optional attributes, attribute values, etc. The XSD generator creates a schema (XSD, DTD, or Relax NG) based on several example XML files. CSV-to-XML and Excel-to-XML conversion are also available. Once you've created a script, you can run it from the command line. To run it regularly, use the Windows Task Scheduler. Schema Viewer. Folding: XMLBlueprint features code folding for convenient work with large XML documents. Non-English languages: XMLBlueprint supports languages such as French, Russian, Japanese, and Chinese. FTPS, SFTP, and WebDAV: With XMLBlueprint, you can edit files stored on a remote FTPS, SFTP, or WebDAV server. Large files XMLBlueprint is optimized for working with large files—up to 1 GB or more. Even very large files open quickly, without losing any XML capabilities. Structural Overview: The Outline window displays all XML elements and attributes. Updates occur in real time as you type. Selecting an element in the overview automatically highlights it in the editor. Jump to an Element Definition in an XML Schema: While editing an XML file, you can jump directly to the corresponding element definition in the associated XML schema. Breadcrumbs: The breadcrumbs pane shows the path from the root of the XML file to the current node. Additional Features Collapsing blocks makes it easier to work with large XML doc
